My Journey

My evolution from a conventional psychologist to a psychologist for whom Energy Psychology is the primary treatment model is rooted in a story from my past. In 2000, I could not overcome the debilitating post trauma symptoms I experienced in the aftermath of my mother’s sudden death, so I sought therapy through a referral from a trusted colleague. My therapist used Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT) to assist me. The treatment was powerful and effective in healing my other core traumas, as well as my presenting symptoms. Guided by my passion for providing the most powerful and effective help to my own clients, I received training in both EMDR and AIT. I later trained in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Pranic Healing to further increase the potency of my clinical work.

In 2016, I experienced another traumatic loss. Despite using all the modalities above, I continued to suffer. My dear friend and colleague, Dr. Michelle Dexter, suggested I contact Dr. Judith Swack for help. Judith is the creator of Healing from the Body Level Up (HBLU), a potent and comprehensive Energy Psychology treatment modality. Judith’s incredibly thorough trauma protocol is integrated with profound mind/body/spirit healing techniques from a plethora of sources. With her treatment, I returned to baseline within a matter of months. As before, I wanted to share the benefits of this effective method with my beloved clients, so I received HBLU training from Judith and the depth of my clinical work expanded yet again. I continue to use HBLU as the framework within which I assist my clients, not only because of its effectiveness, breadth, and depth, but because it allows me to seamlessly incorporate new techniques, regardless of their source, as I learn them.

My Clients

I specialize in working with those seeking personal or spiritual growth who may or may not identify with having mental health problems. I also treat individuals in 12 step recovery and those experiencing unresolved emotional wounds, anger, depression, interpersonal challenges, or difficult life stressors. My ideal client desires a deep, collaborative therapeutic process incorporating mind-body healing techniques. I feel strongly about equity and supporting marginalized communities and welcome clients in the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. My clients include those who’ve already done extensive personal growth work and want to laser into what remains, as well as individuals who’ve never been in therapy and are ready to embark upon a profound, life-altering journey.

As we work together, I am committed to being of service in whatever ways will be most impactful for you, within my scope of practice as a clinical psychologist. My support could be advocating for you, making daily check-in calls or texts when needed, giving homework tailored to you between sessions, sharing additional resources with you, or referring you to providers who bring additional areas of expertise and more. I don’t have all the answers…it’s about what’s truly best for you.
