I have a holistic emphasis in my work, attending to areas of physical and spiritual health in addition to mental health. I have read and trained extensively on spirituality and suffering, autoimmune conditions, nutrition, the effects of chronic stress on the body, stress-relieving techniques, and mindfulness practice. I see adults (age 28 and up) and couples with a variety of issues including all forms of anxiety, depression, insomnia and nightmares, chronic pain, illness and fatigue, food addiction, relationship problems, traumatic experiences, and a history of childhood abuse. I thoroughly enjoy finding creative ways to integrate spirituality into the therapy process and clients from any life-affirming spiritual tradition or worldview are welcome. I have particular expertise with Christian expressions because of my faith background and experience working with two residential programs that helped those recovering from involvement in abusive churches and cultic groups.
