My career in mental health began in 1982. My training focused on family systems and trauma was the primary issue clients presented (adverse childhood experiences being at the root of difficulties.) My initial experience was with parents (couple's relationship issues were often a focus) and children from birth on. I still work with children as young as infancy (including addressing prenatal dynamics.) In addition to understanding how the individual has been impacted by life experiences and carries the effect unconsciously and at the body level, I focus on how their relationships are created and maintained by learned behaviors and interactions that result (in their primary relationship, family [nuclear system and family-of-origin], socially, and at work.) I am also a Registered Play Therapist. I use numerous forms of expressive therapy to access information EXPERIENTIALLY with all ages (EX: Sandplay, art.) I welcome working with persons with a broad variety of spiritual perspectives.
