If you’re having a hard time focusing, you’re in the right place. This blog teaches you an easy tool you can use right now to help improve your focus.

(by Sarah Murphy, LPC)  One of the fastest and most effective ways to improve your attention is to help your body rebalance while reconnecting your left and right hemispheres. You can do this by practicing a technique called the Cross Crawl. This simple body-based technique helps your body to rebalance and allows you to feel more connected. Practice the technique right now by watching the video below and following along. You can also download written instructions in EnglishSpanish and Portuguese.

Why It Works

By using energy techniques like the Cross Crawl, you help your body rebalance. This allows you to regain focus quickly and easily.

If you haven’t given the Cross Crawl technique a try yet, do it now. Take notice of how your body feels both before and after you use the technique. This technique is just one of many you can use to improve your focus.

More Techniques to Help Improve Your Focus

If you found the Cross Crawl technique helpful here are a few more tools you can use to calm anxious feelings: Breathing into Balance and Brain Balancer.

In May 2025, a remarkable and unprecedented event occurred: for the very first time, Clinical EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) was officially integrated into a Master’s program in psychotherapy within a faculty of medicine in Africa — at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal. This milestone marks a turning point in the global history of tapping-based therapies. It ushers in a new era where energy psychology methods such as EFT are now institutionally recognized not only as complementary approaches, but also as potentially foundational tools for mental health care in low-resource contexts.
