Can the latest technology in modern science, like artificial intelligence (or AI), reveal clues to ancient healing practices? One engineering research group (Joy A, et al, 2022) proposes just that. The biofield, or aura, is a living system of subtle energy that enhances wellness. It is a smart container, working within and outside of a living being. The biofield is a super data processor, much like modern computer systems. Both the aura and computers work with codes, interactions, and libraries of data. They make the invisible become visible to the observer, who interprets the data. Artificial intelligence and the biofield can be trained to speak a common language. Meanwhile, we listen and learn. Welcome to the era when ancient practices meet modern science.
The aura, or its scientific name, the biofield, interacts with its surroundings. It brings information into and out from the body. It moves invisibly and nearly immediately through organs, energy centers, and combines with consciousness. It is dynamic. The biofield changes, grows, shrinks and morphs depending on shifting physical and emotional states. It communicates with the chakras, or energy centers of the body. Here’s a blog on chakras to learn more.
Many cultures around the world know about the biofield. Some say ancient artists painted the aura. It shines in paintings of golden halos around the heads of holy beings. Or it appears in layers of colors and shapes around people, like images of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Artificial Intelligence is a programmable system of managing knowledge. AI compiles data quickly to make decisions, solve problems or complete tasks. AI is used in many industries, from self-driving cars to crafting personalized learning systems for students.
Humans excel at reasoning by adapting to change. Human thought is both broad and deep. It is inherently creative. But human thought is limited in capacity and speed. Especially with complex data sets. Enter AI. AI, if programmed accurately, outperforms human capacity quickly and efficiently. AI turns chaos into order. But AI fails when facing new learning environments. It does not know how to adapt. As AI advances, machine learning will improvise with new circumstances. Fortunately, AI sees patterns which people often miss. New patterns create new thoughts. And former mistakes create unexpected breakthroughs, for people and machines.
AI is ideal for sorting through massive data sets, revealing hidden connections. The biofield is filled with clues about health and wellbeing. Combine them, and vistas open. Machine learning algorithms, a subset of AI, currently help pathologists analyze and classify tissue samples. It also helps interpret images of Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV), a digital form of Kirlian photography. A GDV camera sends high frequency and high voltage signals to a person’s finger placed on the camera’s electrified glass lens. The resulting images record current electrical activity from the finger. AI steps in to map the unique detailed signature of an individual. Add one map from a single person to many thousands of records, and a vast catalog appears. AI can sort the data, and with guidance, create keys to understand profiles of biofields’ illness and wellness. In a snap. And well before humans, or our current diagnostic tools can.
AI recognizes faces and basic human emotional expressions. But how about recognizing complex and nuanced data? AI is at its best when fed a complete and detailed library of facts. It processes large data sets and categories. It processes probabilities at lightning speed. The biofield is a rich tapestry of clues about current and future health and illness. Once AI is programmed to read the biofield, its calculations and conclusions can reveal much about a person. Enter a dream team for understanding the underlying rules and patterns governing life. Once you know how to read the clues, you will find the treasures.

We are living in fast-paced times that boggle the imagination. Down the line, AI may combine with other ancient systems like meridians, chakras and even consciousness. The wave of the future partners the modern science of AI with our ancient practices for enhanced lifeforce energy.
As a powerful technology, AI is a tool that can be used for good or not, depending upon human decisions. It has the potential to alter our interface with one another and the planet in ways which are difficult to imagine. It is important that we as a public remain alert to how AI is programmed and applied, for what purposes, and by whom. Many are calling for the regulation of AI, which would be a wise move.
This article is but one example of AI’s potential applications. Thanks to those who remind us of our responsibility to be informed, cautious, and reflective in the face of these developments.
